“Holding Pattern: New Works at the Spencer Museum,” Sep-2014, Susan Earle and Cassandra Mesick
This set of coffee spoons follows a tradition of architects designing flatware and other eating utensils. Each of the eight spoons was designed by one of the following architects: Denton Corker Marshall, Doriana e Massimiliano Fuksas, David Chipperfield, Will Alsop, Hani Rashid, Wiel Arets, Jean Nouvel, and Toyo Ito. The set was manufactured by Alessi, an influential Italian design firm.
