This photograph shows a stretch of Interstate 35 from above, just south of Matfield Green, Kansas, in the Flint Hills. This area is where Terry Evans began making photographs and it is featured in much of her work. In part to honor her work portraying the Flint Hills and the Kansas prairie, Evans was awarded an Honorary Doctor of Arts by KU in 2016.
