This print depicts an apron floating in the wind over the backdrop of a barren, hilly landscape. The artist, Sylvia Taylor, dedicated this print to her mother after her diagnosis with Alzheimer’s disease. Following this significant moment in both women’s lives, Taylor sorted through her mother’s belongings and uncovered several of her old aprons. To Taylor, the aprons evoked nostalgia and acted as a symbol through which her mother’s memory could live. The title of this delicate print may signify the artist’s farewell to her mother.
