Collection Cards: Land

This unique bronze sculpture has a map of Lawrence, Kansas, etched onto its surface. Lawrence was founded in 1854, although Indigenous peoples have lived on this land for generations and continue to live in the community today. Lawrence is home to Haskell Indian Nations University, a tribal college.
