Drawing Studio: Still Life

Three pears and a pitcher make up this still life composition by Pablo Picasso. Fruit and dishes are objects commonly found in the European tradition of still lifes, but Picasso’s use of flattened space, thick black lines, organic shapes, and colorful triangles transforms this work into an almost abstract pattern of colors and shapes.
What drawing techniques might you use to transform your still life?
