Street Nihonga: The Art of Jimmy Tsutomu Mirikitani

This collage pays tribute to renowned filmmaker Akira Kurosawa (1910–1998), whose epic storytelling and visual style profoundly influenced global cinema. Through drawn and collaged imagery, Mirikitani celebrates Kurosawa as a kindred artist bridging Japan and the world. This work can be seen in the accompanying video clip within the Street Nihonga exhibition section.
