Brosseau Center for Learning: Welcoming the World to Lawrence
May 19, 2026–July 12, 2026
Gallery 318, The Jack and Lavon Brosseau Center for Learning, Spencer Museum of Art, University of Kansas, Lawrence, Kansas

This installation celebrates the spirit of global connection inspired by the world’s premiere international soccer competition hosted in the United States, Mexico, and Canada in 2026. Drawing from the Spencer’s rich collection, it highlights the countries playing matches and staying in the Kansas City area this summer: Algeria, Argentina, Austria, Curaçao, Ecuador, England, the Netherlands, and Tunisia. Visitors can explore the artworks, locations, and perspectives that shape communities around the world. Welcoming the World to Lawrence embodies the shared excitement of the beautiful game and celebrates the power of art—and sport—to unite communities across continents.
