In this workshop facilitated by Ola Ronke Akinmowo, creator and director of The Free Black Women's Library, read and discuss Octavia Butler's apocalyptic short story "Speech Sounds" (1983). Then, create a zine using text, hand-cut images, and graphics that illustrate your reflections and where you see yourself in this story.
