Event description
Alexandra Bell turns her practices of editing and commenting on racial bias found in her daily newspaper into large-scale, public murals. Her murals have addressed such topics as the death of Michael Brown, gender bias in sports reporting, and the recent violence in Charlottesville. Bell delivers this lecture in conversation with KU's 2017-2018 Common Book, Citizen: An American Lyric, by Claudia Rankine.
