Buncheong is a form of traditional Korean stoneware. Pots are coated with a white slip and decorative designs are typically painted using an iron pigment. The style emerged in the early Joseon dynasty and was used largely for utilitarian daily ware. In later times, this type of ware was hugely important to the development of tea aesthetics in Japan.
