Celebrate Native American Heritage Month with an outdoor slideshow of art made by Indigenous people from throughout what is now called North America. The projections will feature works from the Spencer Museum’s diverse collection of Native American art curated by a group of students in KU’s First Nations Student Association, as well as portraits of local Native people taken by Lawrence-based multidisciplinary Indigenous visual artist Mona Cliff as part of her Natives NOW project supported by ArtPlace America and the Lawrence Arts Center. Together, these projections showcase the vibrancy and beauty of Indigenous creativity from the past to the present.
