More than 50 baskets by unknown basket makers, dating from the late 19th through the early 20th century are on display. A sample of the richness and diversity of western North American basket-making traditions from the extensive basketry collection of the University of Kansas Museum of Anthropology. Organized by Gary Baura, NEA intern, under the direction of Nancy Corwin, curator of European and American art. In conjunction with the fifth annual Lawrence Indian Art Show, September 11- October 24, 1993.
