Brosseau Center for Learning: Dialogues: Christopher Beard and Elizabeth Turk
Exhibition Overview
The exhibition in these cases displays objects from KU’s Biodiversity Institute and Natural History Museum that inform the work of Christopher Beard. They are organized alongside marble and Baja beach stone sculptures by artist Elizabeth Turk. The objects are meant to be in an unresolved formal and material conversation.
On Friday, November 10, 2017, the Spencer Museum will host the MacArthur Dialogue, a public conversation between MacArthur Fellows Beard and Turk. They will discuss their relationships to the objects of their work and explore how thinking around their own work might inform the other.
